I don't think this will happen. Even if there are declarations that AI should slow down, whom does that might be overtaken by other players which will simply not stop. This is why I see even AI accelerating rather than stopping together with any hype built around it. The strongest AI model will win it all or if not all probably the biggest piece of the pie.
