Hi everyone. It has been a couple of years since I posted here.
I used to be a huge advocate for cryptocurrency. I was all in on Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Steem and Hive, you name it. But then I stopped believing in crypto. I lost faith in the technology and sold all of my coins. I powered down my Hive account and went about working on other less stressful things.
The truth is I think I got burned out. I was doing too much. I was doing work with the Hive Engine team, but then it stopped being fun. I love being a developer, so it was a scary thing to see something I loved doing become a chore, a source of stress and discomfort
But now I'm back. I still don't believe in the crypto side of things as much, but blockchain? Sign me up baby. I love working with blockchain and I always found the Steem (and subsequently, the Hive blockchain) to be one of the nicest chains to work with. I did do some work over at Neblio for a while, but it was hard to get people motivated and engaged like they are here.
I'm excited to be back in the crypto game and I'm looking forward to seeing how Hive grows and evolves in the coming years. I need to work on powering up my Hive account again. I could buy some Hive tokens, but I love the grind of building an account from scratch like I did with my original Steem account.
What have I missed in my absence, has the Hive blockchain launched its layer-two solution for creating tokens on the Hive blockchain? A couple of years ago it seemed close, but I couldn't see anything about being able to create tokens here. It seems Hive Engine is still the way to go?
P.S. I went and checked out Steem, what happened to that place? The homepage is all posts in other languages, mostly Chinese and it appears quite spammy. How is that blockchain still a thing?
