I found this beautiful praying mantis in my yard the other day and I thought that it would be a great share as I have never seen a praying mantis with this sort of coloration before. The ones that I see around my yard are usually either plain green or brown in color.
I showed some of my friends this photo i took and they were also amazed with the coloration as they are also used to just seeing the common green praying mantis around, they even suspected that i may have photoshopped this picture. I would like to assure both yourself and them that I have not.
