Below are some photos that i took during my visit to the Pongolapoort dam (Jozini Dam) in South Africa. This dam is located in the northern KwaZulu-Natal region, 280 km away from the city of Durban. The dam is situated in the middle of several private wildlife reserves as well as the Pongola game reserve. It is home to a large variety of wild life, Elephants, leopard, buffalo and white and black rhinoceros are just some of the animals that can be seen along the waters edge. There are also several private lodges and a fishing campsite at the dam, many sport anglers frequent this area to try there luck at catching the elusive Jozini tiger fish.
If ever you guys decide to visit South Africa and are in the KZN region, I would highly recommend that you make a visit to the Jozini dam where you will get to see nature at its best and for those of you that are not into the camping and outdoor lifestyle but still want to visit, there is the Jozini Tiger valley lodge & Spa where u will get to enjoy nature and have 5 star accommodation.
