A brutal day. Woke up at 5am – luckily. I decided to get up and get into the bakery early. I felt well prepared, but as soon as I arrived, I noticed that I had underestimated the amount of work waiting for me. I put on some energizing music, and went at it. And made it somehow, only 10min late to the market in Ibarra – which wouldn’t have made much of a difference, Ibarra is deserted these days. I barely sold enough to make it worth the while. The good thing is that I earn double – the wage of the salesperson, and the profit from the business.
I basically worked all day. No rest for the wicked. Danny had an event planned with Danilo Arroyo, and I tried to help out a little there, too. I got interrupted so many times that it was around 7pm when I finally closed the laptop and went to the back area to get a cocktail and listen to the music. I love Andean electronic music. Danilo is a really great producer.
I wound down. Had a mocktail with Kami. Then she left, and a little later Ellie’s cousin came. And then Ellie. It was a lot of fun. Now it’s the next day, and I really have to get at it. Thanks for reading, I hope I’ll be able to read some of your posts this weekend.
