After my post yesterday evening I was settling for a very, very slow day today. Basically staying in bed. Maybe 100 steps, to the bathroom and back, sometimes to the kitchen. Little did I know! Apparently, it was all my gut, and not having caught a influenza or something similar. After a few sittings on the toilet and very easy-to-digest food, I didn't feel too bad today.
I did spend some time in the bed, but around 10am, I decided that my condition was not bad enough to justify lying in bed all day, and that I had to do things. I started out with a little work on the computer, then went to the print shop, then to the municipality, then to the other side of the municipality until I finally knew the documents needed to renew our permit for the 10th time. In the last 5 years, that has been different each time.
When I came back, my brother was waiting for me. He had to go to a PT appointment as he had slept in a weird position and conceived a piercing pain in his lungs when breathing deeply. Probably a dislocated rib or something like that. Instead of calling our parents who did practice that all their lives, he went to someone in Ibarra recommended to him. It wasn't much of PT, more electrical and magnetic therapy. Not my style, but hey, whatever works. If it works. We'll know tomorrow or so.
The skies cleared up nicely, and I was able to enjoy a beautiful view on our surrounding mountains, Cotacachi and Imbabura. I obviously took some pictures and especially the one with the old Kichwa women was a good one I think, as the mountain is both on the mural as in the background. I took advantage and walked a little more around, maybe more than I should've since I'm tired again. But hey, I'll survive. I'm pretty sure it was worth it, anyway.
