It was a sunny afternoon, I was craving some chicken stew and pasta. I don’t know if it’s just me, but whenever I don’t satisfy my cravings I feel like I am suffering, just the way pregnant women do. So I try to beg myself not to crave things that I can not afford otherwise as that can lead to a problem. Most days I say to myself whenever my cravings starts “You need to save IB”

Well, this time around I felt like satisfying my cravings because we live only once. After all, if I die without enjoying my money, I'm sure my next of kin wouldn't hesitate to spend it ASAP.
My friend came over so I just told her what I was craving for and then she said she also wanted something similar so we had to make it. She said It's been ages since she had chicken stew so let’s make it. That made me even more energetic to prepare it. We went to the market together to get the chicken, spices, and every other thing we needed to use for the stew. I stayed far away from where the chickens were kept because ever since I was chased by a Hen and her children and I almost ran naked I vowed never to get close to a live chicken, but I love to eat them anyways.

When we got home, I decided to make the meal, since I was the one with the cravings, I wanted to prepare it to my taste. Well, I did and the meal came out nice.
While eating I could feel a slight pain in my mouth, close to my gum region. Maybe it’s the chicken's ghost that was hitting my gum with a harmer, but I decided to ignore it and eat regardless as the goaI was to satisfy myself. After eating, I slept off, well who wouldn’t after eating what you desired?

2 hours later I woke up with a toothache, it was so painful that I couldn’t swallow saliva or even talk. I tried opening my mouth to take a look if it was a hole or something but it was so painful to even open my mouth. It was a gum inflammation. I woke up very late and the gate was already closed, so there was no way for my friend to go get drugs to ease the pain. The only medication was to use warm water and salt therapy.

I did the whole salt and warm water rinse to help reduce the pain but it was so painful.
While I was in pain, my mind was fixed on how to finish my remaining chicken, I kept on moving my mouth in a way to check if I could still chew but no I couldn’t.
“What will happen to my chicken stew?” I asked my friend

She was so shocked by the question cause I was in severe pain and all I could think of was my chicken stew.
She then asked "Babe, your life or your chicken?"
"I won't lie to you, as it is now, I'll go for my Chicken. I would prefer to eat my chicken and die, and go to heaven and eat more because I heard that, whatever killed you on earth is what you'll have in abundance in heaven when you die" My response put us into laughter which resulted into a very sharp pain on my mouth.

The Next morning, I went to see the dentist and that’s when he said I had my wisdom tooth growing and it was coming out wrongly, Imagine a big girl like me still growing tooth, He did a mini surgery on it and prescribed drugs for me, The first question I asked him was “if I could eat chicken or meat” and he said “No” and that I just needed to take cereals or any liquid so as not to exert force on the inflammation.

I couldn't believe it, how do I live on cereals in the abundance of solid meals, especially my chicken stew?

We got home and my friend was tempted by a female devil and she prepared rice to eat alongside with the stew. She dished out her food and was about to eat when she said “Come and join me”, I don’t even know if she was mocking me, obviously she was cause she was laughing. I just went to the kitchen to make my cereals. For days all I could do was perceive my chicken stew but couldn’t eat it.

This whole inflammation lasted for 4-5 days and I couldn’t enjoy my chicken stew, she was nice enough to leave one piece for me, but when I felt better it didn’t taste right in my mouth. Well thanks to my toothache, I didn’t get to enjoy my chicken stew.
