At the beginning of 2023, I was a bit skeptical about how life would play out and what would happen. I kept thinking about so many things, such as what next to do as I was already done with school and Awaiting my NYSC posting. So at that point, I wasn’t sure about the year or if there would be anything great. Well, I think 2023, had so many memories attached to it, and in all I am grateful.
If there is one memory I am excited about in 2023 is going for my NYSC (National Youth Service Corp) when I found out I was posted to the North, extremely far away from home, I cried myself out. I wasn’t excited at first about it as I kept thinking and trying to imagine how I was going to cope with new people, different cultures, different languages, and different lifestyles.
At one point, I wanted to skip it and reapply for the next batch but I am happy I didn’t, going to the north for my service is a great opportunity for me. I got to meet super amazing people and learn new things. I got to see life from a different angle. I met younger people and I was happy I was able to pass on the little knowledge I have to them. Serving there made my 2023 worth it and I am grateful for that.
In 2023, I got introduced to the blockchain, honestly, this is one memory that whenever I am recounting my blessings of 2023 I do not leave it out. HIVE made my 2023 worth it. Both financially, connection, and knowledge. Hive has been amazing.
In 2023, I got an insight into the web3 platform, decentralization, web3 games, and more. I got to meet new people that are now part of my life. I learned about certain new things such as food, places, and a lot more as I read through the blockchain and it was an amazing experience in 2023. I am sticking to Hive as I believe there are still lots of things in 2024.
It’s been a while since I had an outing with my friends back home, as everyone is busy with one thing or another, and 2023 made it possible for that.
During the Christmas holiday, I went back home, and that made it easier to reconnect with them.
We decided to go for a sip and paint outing. It wasn’t possible as when we got there the place was crowded, we should have gone there earlier, but that’s fine though as we could do that some other time.
We decided to do something else instead of going home without having fun, we decided to see a movie at the cinema. Well, it was interesting and at least we got to do something together after a long time. This was one of my best 2023 highlights as I enjoyed every bit of the hangout because I don’t know when next I will be hanging out with them.
Several memories of 2023, but I think these were my favorite as whenever I think of 2023, I remember these events.
