I remember ringing it in my parents ears that I won't be leaving Lagos to another state for my undergraduate program but all was just me deceiving myself. Sincerely, I said that out of fear of leaving my comfort zone and also meeting people. I grew up in a very confine community, having to mind your business and stay contented with what you have.

As I went through life and all that my parents had planned out for me, I found myself in a position where I couldn't do anything about my admission to the great university of Uyo. I honestly wasn't myself the week I was going to be traveling back to Uyo. I won't talk to anyone in the house,I hardly met with my only best friend at that time because I couldn't imagine leaving my family and my little community where I had stayed all my life.

Getting to school, my countenance wasn't bright at all, I went from class back to my aunty's place and all I wanted to do was cry myself to sleep. I felt empty, lonely and I was missing my family.

A turning point came in the middle of all of these. As I opened myself to accepting the fact that I was just going to be here for school and once am done,I will finally go back to Lagos.

Adapting to everything Uyo community presented to me was more like a very difficult task for me but I had to give myself to adapting to all of it. There were times I wish I could go back to write jamb again, there were times I acted rude to people with good intentions, there were times I cried alone in my room with the light out because that felt like my only comfort.

Adaptation might come with a whole lot of you leaving everything you've always hold dearly behind just so you keep moving. It might take your immediate comfort and pleasure but it shows how strong of a person you are. A man that can adapt to any situation is a man that cannot be stopped. Even when he looks helpless in that situation, he is in full control. He's giving himself to winning no matter what life brings.

Life will not always give you the opportunity to succeed in the finest of places. It might give to you that place you hate the most but don't let it get to you. It actually doesn't take anything to adapt. If we can just look at the brighter side of it.

Following God's plan can sometimes be in that thing that you don't fancy. God will not always work the way you want Him to but He will always work in the best and perfect way for all of us.

So beautiful people,I know is a new week. Adapt to that new policy in the place of work, or that transfer letter you got. There's something you won't see now but you will be thankful you did along the way.

Have a productive week.馃馃挭
