Finally, one song came to mind. No, the memory of a very great song came to mind, but neither the melody nor the title came to mind. Gone, as if erased. All I knew was, I loved that song more than anything!
So I went in search of Marianne Faithful. Hmm, but I just couldn't find that particular song, as if it just didn't exist. Just glad I knew I had it in vinyl. Yes, a good old vinyl record. Searched, found and like scales fell from my eyes! Running for our Lives! How could I forget that???
Then I also found the song on Youtube and listening to it brought tears to my eyes, so full of memories and emotions is this song for me. Funny detail on the side: I had once borrowed the LP and when returning it was unfortunately too long in the hot summer heat in a car. Ich dachte drüber nach, welche Musik ich eigentlich zu jener Zeit im vorigen Jahrhundert gehört hatte. Alle Suchen in Youtube nach "Hits der 80er" brachten jedenfalls nicht die Musik zum Vorschein, die ich damals tagein tagaus gehört hatte. Also musste ich in meiner Erinnerung suchen und eine, die mir sogleich einfiel war:

Es mag heute vielleicht nicht mehr nachvollziehbar sein, aber für mich waren diese Stimme und dieser Song damals zu dieser Zeit ein Offenbarung! Und auch jetzt wärhend ich mir den Song anhöre hat er für mich nichts von seiner Faszination verloren. Diese feinen kleinen "Mißklänge" die es zu einem Meisterwerk machen.
Heute scheint mir besonders dieses Lied wie ein Nachhall aus längst vergangenen Tagen, als wir Songs noch ganz anhörten, als wir uns Zeit nahmen auch für die langsamen und leisen Zwischentöne. Ein Echo aus einer Zeit lange vor Smartphones und MP3s.

Danach fiel mir Kate Bush ein, ebenfalls ein Song den ich geliebt hatte, was wohl auch hier mit der Stimme und der etwas wehmütigen Melodie zusammenhängt. Ich war wohl eher der nachdenkliche Typ Teenager ;-)
Aber auch diesen Song höre ich heute sehr gerne und er lässt meine Zellen aufatmen, meine innerstes Ich einfach gut fühlen. Kate Bush hatte ja viele echt geniale Songs, mal sehen was ich da demnächst für euch noch hervorkrame, für diesen #treetunestuesday oder #ttt , den

Schließlich fiel mir noch ein Song ein. Nein, es fiel mir die Erinnerung an einen sehr großen Song ein, aber weder die Melodie noch der Titel kamen mir in den Sinn. Weg, wie ausgelöscht. Ich wusste nur noch, ich habe diesen Song über alles geliebt!
Also machte ich mich auf die Suche nach Marianne Faithful. Hm, aber ich fand diesen bestimmten Song einfach nicht, als hätte es ihn einfach nicht gegeben. Nur gut, dass ich wusste ich habe sie in Vinyl. Ja, eine gute alte LP. Gesucht, gefunden und wie Schuppen fiel es mir von den Augen! Running for our Lives! Wie konnte ich das nur vergessen???
Daraufhin habe ich den Song auch auf Youtube gefunden und beim Anhören kamen mir die Tränen, so voller Erinnerungen und Emotionen ist dieser Song für mich. Lustiges Detail am Rande: Ich hatte die LP einmal verborgt und beim Rücktransport lag sie leider zu lange in der heißen Sommerhitze in einem Auto. Seitdem hat sie einen kleinen Schaden, sie ist nicht mehr ganz gerade. Der Kenner wird vielleicht den kleinen Schatten erkennen, den sie wirft, wenn sie flach liegt:
Das lustige ist, die Platte ließ sich ja noch spielen, aber sie hatte eine Stelle, ausgerechnet bei "Running for our lives" wo es ein mini "kkkrsscchhht" Geräusch gab. Kaum hörbar.
Vorhin beim Anhören der Youtube Version fehlte mir tatsächlich dieses Geräusch, so oft hatte ich es in die Musik integriert mitgehört!
