I love to make plans and I absolutely love for my plans to go as planned but I will be lying if I say that it has always been this way.
Nope, life always does what it does best. I have experienced many of my plans going the other way which was quite unplanned. When this happens, I tend to become disheartened and my critical thinking ability disappears.
So many times I have had to cry out in exasperation because of the uncertainties that life throws my way. Sometimes I wonder how I am still sane because with all that is going on within and around me, it is enough to simply give up.
The month of January has come to an end and I did something. I took a pen and paper and I began to reflect on how the last thirty-one days has been especially with my finances. I began with the income and as a good economist, I also wrote down my expenses all through the month of January.
I discovered that my expenses was three times my income. I recalled making a strict budget so where and how did those extra expenses creep in from and where did the money come from ...? It surprised me but not too much. I was awed by how much left me financially, yet I didn't sweat nor did I run from door to door.
I defied the odds in January. The month known as long and dryand I didn't even feel the heat. It is not of my doing but that of favour and grace.
This brings me to the song I am sharing with you all. I believe that when we trust God enough He makes a way for us in seemingly impossible situations, just like the lyrics of the song says.
I'm in awe of the many ways that God comes through for me. It is not just a fanatic statement. God really made a way. Many people that shouted happy new year have passed on. They did not make it to February but here we are and here I am as well because God did it.
Challenges will arise but I stand unfazed as I believe that a way out is certain.
*Happy new month to you all.
Thank you for reading and viewing... Shalom
