Kieswerkbesuch in Bodenheim und neuer Job // Visit to the gravel works in Bodenheim and a new job (DEU/ENG)
Hallo liebe Community

LG
English Version:
Hello dear community
Today I'm going to tell you a little bit about my everyday life.
I started a new job at the beginning of the year, which means that I will now be on assembly every now and then and unfortunately don't always find the time to post something.
That's why I'd like to take the opportunity to write something today. My new workplace is in Mainz, more precisely in the town of Bodenheim, where my company is based. In my new job, I am responsible for the installation, maintenance and repairs of our stairlifts.
I myself had to go there for 3 weeks for training, which also meant being away from my son for 3 weeks after 2 years of parental leave, which made the decision to accept the job difficult.
But we found a way that it worked out, and so I was able to sign the contract for 03.01 20222.
After a little more than 4 months I can now say that it was the right decision. Not only is the work great and I really enjoy it. In addition, I seem to have found a company that values its employees and also cultivates a family atmosphere among each other, which I also particularly like.
In my first week, it was first of all a matter of arriving and getting to know most of my colleagues and the executive floor, and I was shown around everything. I also got my complete work outfit. Since I have always liked Engelbert Strauss work clothes, I was thrilled with my new clothes.
I also got a company phone to work through my orders. Not bad either. After we all chatted a bit, my boss told me to go to the hotel to check in and be back at 8am rested. It was just 12 o'clock and I had already finished work.
So I quickly drove to the hotel, checked in and then had a look around.

As I always have some of my gold panning equipment with me, I thought it would be useful to have a look at the Rhine and the gravel pits here. I picked out a few places on Google and drove around them.
First I went to a gravel pit, where I washed a few samples with the pan, because it was freely accessible and I quickly found suitable spots.
I was also able to take a closer look at the layout and discovered a Schüttrad, which I had already heard a lot about. But I hadn't seen one yet.
I walked around the site for about 2 hours and took my samples and in 2 places there was also some gold.
However, as it got dark quickly, I didn't have much time and didn't manage to visit another one that day. But I'll tell you more about that a few days later.
I hope I could give you a little insight into my new job and also show you some of my hobby.
LG
