I don't believe we should ever stop longing or wishing for the things we love and value; I think it's one of the most beautiful aspects of being human even though it's sometimes painful. Desiring that which I love, craving it, makes me feel alive and helps me to feel...and I like to feel things deeply.
I love nature, I crave it, and often drift away lost in thoughts of wide open spaces, vibrant colours of plants and flowers, the rich earthy scent of the forest after it rains, and the greens and blues found in oceans and waterways. I long for the stars at night, the way they make me feel so small in a vast universe, and I wish for the first early rays on my skin as it rises and the way colour drains from the sky as the last light of the day fades over the horizon in hues of purple, orange and red.
I see beauty in it, I need it and I can't imagine a Becca without the feeling of wishing for those things, longing for and desiring them.

I crave my guy too, I long for him.
It feel it's right to hunger for the things of beauty and goodness in our lives...and he's certainly a beautiful human. Imperfect, but perfectly special...and it feels beautiful to have the right to hunger for someone I know returns it.
My man is away currently and I miss him. He's not too far away, but far enough that I can't reach out and touch him. I like doing that, just touching his arm, the back of his hand or his leg as he drives or when we're watching a movie. But more than that, I love how he touches my heart and soul, the way he reaches inside me and makes me feel like a better Becca.
My perfectly imperfect man will be home soon and I crave the moment in which he'll enfold me within his embrace, the way he will touch my face, his wandering hands and the way he makes me feel complete, like he's the piece of me I've been missing.
With him gone, I've been listening to music that reminds me of him, makes me think of moments we've shared and will share again; here's three of them.
