Filling the spaces

Over the last few days I've been busy filling the spaces of my life with all manner of things; I've enjoyed it because it's been all about me with no one else to have to concern myself over.

I don't mean this to sound selfish, I'd rather have my guy home with me but when he's away for work I focus on myself a lot more and feel I need that space. I think he feels the same way although I know he worries about me being alone when he's away.

I've been painting and gardening mostly and have been trying out a few protein shakes to make for breakfast; I'm yet to find the right one but when I do it will make our morning routine a bit easier. I've not cooked much which is unusual; we usually make our own meals rather than take-out food. But I've not gone hungry though and tonight I think I'll order something in and watch some shows on TV.

I just spoke with my guy, he's almost two thousand miles away and in another time zone but is going well, as is his work.

I sent him a picture of me, one I'll not show here of course, and he was grateful. Other than that, we spoke about his accommodation, I always like to see where he's staying so I feel closer to him, and we chatted about small things until he had to go for dinner. He'll be back soon and with only a few more work trips for the year, he'll be all mine for almost two months afterwards.
