Ten years ago i lived in a public compound where you have over 15 tenants, but we were all living in peace and unity, despite that there are somethings we share like the toilet and kitchen but there was still peace and unity.
It was early morning Sunday, 5:am and we had loud noise and screaming from the next door and everyone rushed out to see, it was a surprising thing to everyone because we never experienced such before.
"Whats the problem! What's the problem"
Everyone in the compound was asking same question
"She stormed into my room and started making trouble" "Emeka replied"
"But she's your girlfriend! Who's this other person we don't know her" the occupants where asking Emeka.
What happened!
"We thought it has been a smooth relationship with no issues what cracked you guys up?" We asked.
"But Oluchi no matter what why pulling of the cloth? She deserves some respect" the compound people replied.
This happened more than ten years ago but i can't easily forget due to the extent of what happened.
There was this guy named Emeka and a young lady named oluchi, both were dating and have been living together for over two years, all of a sudden I stopped seeing Oluchi and i never knew what happened till that early Sunday morning that oluchi came in unexpectedly, oluchi bumped into Emeka's room without knocking and Emeka was shocked and surprised.
Oluchi was a young lady in her mid 20's she just finished her college and meet Emeka, they fall in love but Oluchi's parents refused to accept Emeka as their future in-law, reasons best known to them, it got to the point that oluchi was denied from the acess of higher education because of Emeka, infact the father made a proclamation that she's no more her daughter, and she never bothered because she was madly in love with Emeka but unfortunately the heart is treacherous so no one can really know it, Emeka started having feelings for another lady not thinking about the stress and sacrifices oluchi has experienced and went through just because of him.
She always brags in the compound, she felt she had the best man ever, she never knew that you can't trust men till that early morning on a Sunday, she never knew her man was a selfish type.
Olivia oluchi's friend adviced her to try some tricks on Emeka so that she can find out if what she's thinking is really what is happening, so she told Emeka that she was going on a week holiday and she would be leaving the state to another state.
According to her, the excitement on Emeka's face gave her a clue that something is wrong somewhere, but she pretended to be fine, it was a Saturday morning she left to Olivia's house and Emeka thought she's out of town.
Emeka quickly called the girl he had been secretly dating and she came over not knowing that oluchi is right behind her, so she spent the night there and she was wearing oluchi's night wear when oluchi bump into the room and pulled her clothes off the girl, forced her out of the house to go home.
Then the real person in Emeka came out, "After everything i did for you, do you remember my parents disowned just because of you and you have the mind to do this to me" Oluchi screaming.
"Hows that my concern? Its your choice, infact i can't be with a lady whose parents don't have affection for me, its over between us" Emeka replied.
"You are joking and you know that very well, it cant be iver we are stucked together forever " Oluchi replied.
"How did you get into the house?, i thought you said your traveling and you will be away for a week!" Emeka asking.
"I went with the spare keys, because is being a while i have been suspicious of your calls" oluchi replied.
"I go no where" Oluchi continued.
It was there and then everyone came to realize what has been going on between this two fellows and is non of our business, so we were just looking while they tell us about themselves, how they started and how they are going.
The care taker of the compound went inside his apartment while we sit outside waiting and watching.
Little did we know that the other lady called the police to come pick oluchi up for assaulting her in her mans house, i was wondering why she was quiet even tho she was disgraced and i sensed that she might have a plan.
In the next 30mins we had the sound of a police van filled with police men, and immediately everyone looked for a place to hide, but the police men also bumped into Emeka's room and forced Oluchi into their police van, she was arrested for assaulting her fellow girl just because of a man.
Later we saw Oluchi's mum coming to Emeka's apartment.
