Yesterday was one of those beautiful days that makes my heart rejoice whenever I remember how I spent my day.
It's been over six months since I last visited my friend, who is like a sister to me.
Just from a neighbour, she became more than a sister to me, she did what no one was able to do for me, so I love and cherish her so much.
Unfortunately, I have been so busy that I have never visited her for a long time now, and she has been so concerned about me, so yesterday I dressed up and decided to pay her a visit
I boarded a tricycle, which took me 45 minutes to get to the Costian bus stop, then I had to walk for 30 minutes to get to her estate. Since I was walking alone, I decided to take some pictures that I will share with my friends here on Hive.
The road was empty and it was very sunny, so I had to go along with an umbrella, I saw people walking down the street, some going to the market while others were going home.
On my I saw this water, the water tank is very big and from history, it was once the only water tank that was supplying water to the whole of Surulere Lagos which has over 20,000 occupants if am not mistaken but gradually house owners started digging boreholes as they built houses and the water tank is no longer useful.
Finally I got there
When I got to the gate, I was asked to get the access code from my aunt, and I called her to send me the access code. That was proof that it had been a long time since I visited the estate; they have new security men and new rules.
Finally, I got to see my aunt, and she was so happy to see me, sadly she didn't know I was coming so she didn't prepare any food for but I eat a few slices of bread and butter.
Movie time with my aunt
I connected my YouTube account to her smart TV and we started searching for an interesting movie we could watch, I have missed watching movies with her.
Finally, we got one movie from a well-known Nigerian actress called Mercy Johnson The movie was funny and annoying at the same time.
The title of the movie is Fire between us
We spent an hour plus watching the movie, and at some point, my aunt became upset because of the movie. She asked me to search for another movie or to search for audiobooks because she loves listening to audiobooks.
It was already late, she thought I was going to sleep over, but I told her I had some appointments to catch up with, so I had to go home.
It was already dark when I left her house. I walked thirty minutes to the bus stop, then took a tricycle back to my house.
I was so happy that I visited her, when I got home, it was already late, so I had my bath and went to bed, we created memories that will not easily be erased.
