Hello amazing ladies of hive, I hope you are having a nice day. I am pleased to write to you about my love for native dress today.
I was born into the Yoruba culture, from Lagos state and our dresses are best known to be native.
You can still find people who don’t put on native but most influential people prefers using native attires on occasion. I discovered even years of not been to my state, I prefer going out in native dress.
Here is an image of me in school and I realized out of five schooling days, I put on native at most three days.
Its just part of me that I can’t do without. Though I got tailoring experience, So I sew my dresses myself. I was able to purchase a sewing machine with the proceeds of the job.
It is just part of me and these are collections of my native wears. Each week I must ensure I put on native.
I don’t know if my culture is really having influence on me but its not bad the point I am trying to make is that no matter where you travel to, as long as you were born into a culture by your parent, you will always want to represent anywhere you are located.
