Well, I won't eat waffles every day now, just because I have the waffle maker. But if I want to eat waffles, I cannot do it without a waffle maker. I have tried ready made packaged waffles, that you can buy and then heat up in a toaster, but they are crap. Not nearly as good as fresh ones.
Kaiserschmarrn is also a tasty thing, though I'm not too keen on the raisins. But also for that there are other options, even if its not 100% original Kaiserschmarrn then. Generally, Kaiserschmarrn is just a big pancake that had a accident. :)
Too bad you don't have the sweet root sirup. Is there not even a russian version of it? Well, may be people don't want it anymore, since it was something that people ate in bad times, when they were poor or in war times or so. Here its mainly older people who know it from their youth days, and they still like it. Lets see if its still made in some years from now. As far as I know there is only the one company (Grafschafter) who still makes it in Germany.
