While we were out taking care of a friends homestead I took a couple photo's of his animals, some very cute baby lambs and young calf's along with some ducks! I hope you like them.
It didn't take long to feed and water then we got to watch the baby lambs.
One thing you need to positively understand before you run off and start your own homestead, is if you don't have friends or family close by your not going to be able to leave and go on vacation for a week. Even if an emergency comes up the animals still expect to have food and water everyday. We have left town before and been gone for several days at a time, but we had someone that could take care of the homestead feeding, watering, collect eggs and keep an eye out on everything. It's something to think about.
