Time's a ticking!!!!
3 weeks til the baby shower then 4 weeks til bub is due and I can really use a time machine right about now, or maybe an extra hour or two of daylight every day ~ which I think is actually coming ~ 👌🙏
On second thoughts, hold that time machine. I'm keen on getting my body back and meeting bub cos you guys, these last couple of weeks have been struggle street.
Everything is aching. Like I mean, EVERYTHING. At a ridiculous level no less.
No matter how much padding my seat has I always end up with a sore arse like I've been sitting on concrete. Walking, moving ~ all takes a lot of effort.
Don't know if this is because I'm having a baby when I'm close to 40, or this is standard and I just don't remember because last time I was preggo was 19 years ago and I had my baby when I was 20 years old.. But whatever the reason, I can't wait for it to be over.
I figured, if I'm like this now and I've got 7 weeks to go, it can only go down hill from here and apparently I can still "blow up" and get bigger... 🤦🏻♀️
So I'm really trying to get on top of everything now while I can. Chores, shopping, planning ~ I need everything done asap so I can just chill in the last 2 weeks.
Even though bub won't be sleeping in her room til she out grows the co sleeper, I still need to sort it out and get everything organised in there because that's where the nappy and clothes changing will be happening.
This also gives me the opportunity to suss out how many of what and which sizes she has so far cos the last thing I need is to run out of stuff because I'm aiming to do laundry only once or twice a week.
Lucky for us Hubby's mum went nuts early on and hooked us up with so much stuff so we have quite a few things already across all sizes and types. Plus we've been picking up things here and there.

I've got baby towels, blankets and swaddles in the wash right now, then all the handmade knitted stuff are next in after that...
Gotta line her drawers and maybe organise the nappies/changing drawers.. And that's that for all the clothes and linen for today. If I had two clothes lines I'd probably wash both her cot sheet sets now 😆
While I'm waiting for laundry, I'm sorting out the crafts/activities for the baby shower.
I'm lucky to have very creative people in my circle and I'll be putting them to work at the shower 😆
I'll have a headband/hair clip station AND a pacifier clip station.
So far I've got chiffon flowers, paper flowers, ribbons, felt rounds to be used for backing. I've got the headband elastic and clips coming in the mail and today I'm going to try making felt flowers as additional embellishments for the headbands and clips.
So... looks like I have a new thing 😆
