I'm an old digital man. Not a boomer but starting to feel like one.
The journey into the digital world.. I started with it and now I see the epoch of a new generation.
That damn disease! Just brought about the deflation force upfold. I keep hearing and reading that technology is deflationary. Well, it would seem not in the cryptocurrency sphere.
Am I a true believer? True believers are usually tested with the waters up to their nostrils.

Nobody likes nostalgia but this blog is not just for me. I'm allowed to reminisce of how that 2400 bps model squeaked. A teenager running a BBS in an underground. It was the primordial internet which made it all mainstream and exciting.
I went into the digital art world underground. I never found it to be predatory and I always found it to be fascinating. Artists from around the world joined in 'tribes'. Sound familiar? I jumped from one tribe to another depending upon the 'perks'. The warez I traded was the artwork I produced and in return access.
Artwork was a special personalized form of recognition for BBS systems. Used for advertising and the dissemination of information via upload / download protocols. Somewhat similar to torrent seeding and downloading accept you need to upload in order to download. Information is key whether in picture, text, or mp3 form.
ANSi work was paraded on the front page of the Bulletin Board Systems and it's artist were paid with access to files and whatever other benefits. Advertising was done by the art groups and as a member you would get unlimited download (as long as your dialup was good).
Yup. I'm a dinosaur now; but nothing is new under the sun (not Justin Sun).
So here we are. Crony this and Crony that. It's all true and somethings amalgamate. Perhaps there's a bridge to somewhere (fiscally).
Here's the new digital 'revolution' of art. Digital Currencies as NFT sold for USD / Crypto.
Digitized art. Something I cannot wrap my head around. But, I gather it's because of my dinosaur status. I should evolve and understand my epoch of being was just transformational. There's a new generation starting with Warcraft (something I never participated in).
Skins are digital 'status'. We used to think it was the Air Jordan's..
But now with an increasingly digital world it is something else. Sure physical may be en vouge in 20 years. Looking ahead I remember a guy I knew who sold physical artwork for money off of ebay. He ran in trouble with validation techniques. There are many forgeries out there. With NFT it's validated.
Pretty weird and changing times. I told my wife about this. She want's to buy NFT art! GO figure. I have a few ideas in mind myself..
