Fast people who type sometimes make fast kinds of mistakes. I have made plenty of mistakes transferring crypto; and now powering up is something I have to watch out as well for. As you very well know I'm just taking my Hive and some other HE tokens and converting them to LEO; at least until I'm past 5000LP. It was originally 15000LP but well I will happily say this goal has gone way up.
Powering up costs absolutely no gas/burn fee and is a free transaction. Using crypto lately you can see the price we pay just to move some coins and tokens. Hive has next to no fee's which is one of it's appeals.
So we pumping and I just want to power up. Oops two fast clicks on the convert to ETH and a Keychain lalidation..
Shit I just realized what I did. Tokens are gone. Did they move? Could they move? Gas fee's are not just .50 cents these days.
It's my fault as Hive has given me a sense of familiarity but LEO has more unique properties.
In any case!
A current market price that's about $22 minimum to convert. I wonder what the gas fee's are on top of that! Don't want to think! There you go, I learned something by a mistake and I'm glad I learned. I will have to factor in if and when I ever cash out to ETH. This is good info for you folks to know as well. I'm not promoting cashing out as I'm powering up; but for those who are looking for some quick ETH; you will have to have put some time and effort into LEO to make it worth.
