At the peak of the last BTC 'bubble' I timed everything perfectly. I rotated a good amount of my portfolio out of crypto and into hard metals. We then saw a great rotation into GOLD / SILVER at the beginning of the deflationary 'apocalyptic' Covid event. Perhaps the smart money would have rotated out of Hard metals and back into crypto at this point. Selling your hard metals is the end goal, but not at this point in time. That's a 10-20 year proposition.
I was not exactly the 'smart' money as I'm more of a physical maximalist (you don't hold it you don't own it). If you follow my blog you know I'm not really a maximalist in anything other than diversification. I did not sell 'all' of my crypto as I left a nice chunk on Hive. I also took a 6 month break from blogging as Hive was sitting at around 0.08 cents - 11 cents USD. During this period I re-invested much of my HIVE and put it into other projects on the chain. Those projects are doing very well at the moment.
Yes, I am powering down but the rotation is not so simple at the moment. As you can see HIVE is now on an uptick. Re-investing it into LEO, CUB, SIM, PAL, and a myriad of other projects are sucking me dry of Hive Crypto. Is this even the correct thing to do when the HIVE price is screaming to go up further?
I have complained it's taken about a year for Hive to reach it's 0.40 cent mark and let's not forget it's all time high was about $1. I do believe HIVE will certainly suffer a bit if it reaches that all time high again. So here is the conundrum; there's plenty of projects built upon hive which now provide dividends in said token.
Even if those projects create dividends; a higher HIVE rotation makes it somewhat mute (unless those other projects 5x-100x)
BROFi for instance lets you delegate your tribe tokens to receive BRO. BRO gives you dividends in many other projects daily. The question is if HIVE goes up do all other tokens go up with it? Well it of course really does depend. Not only that but we now have tokens that are cross chain such as LEO. LEO can be wrapped into WLEO, and of course the new BLEO (BNB). Both BNB and ETH are both looking bullish!
It's getting to the point now where I think I just need to set some goals and make certain decisions. Do I want to cash out some profit and buy 'things' from crypto, do I want to position myself for the next bear market and accumulation phase? Do I want to have an underground bunker fund?
Decisions, decisions! I think it's time to hear from my valiant followers on what you are doing. Sitting on crypto is not a waiting game it's more of an opportunity to receive dividends this time around. Hive is in a sweet sport at the moment. Opportunities exist in every which corner!
