I was originally disappointed with BTC's initial response to the covid crisis. Unfortunately for many we didn't buy at the low's; and many had other things as a distraction. You couldn't get gold but you could get lots of Crypto cheap (important to note).
People were also going out and buying toilet paper.
As I stretch out my knowledge I come across so many charts and opinions. I found the weakness in the dollar interesting when coinciding with BTC's rise. Are there scenario's where the dollar could significantly strengthen again? Of course we know it is debt and printed; but there are times it brings in strength in worrying times.
I have written about this before in my blogs. Although my theory of a strengthening dollar during the election weren't on target; it's still on the map.
- Endless Money Printing
- UBI / MMT Payouts
- Zombie Corporations (that need to be propped up)
- Zombie Banks (that need to be propped up)
- Stock Market Bubble High's
- Central Digital Currencies
If there is dollar strength I would subscribe to Brent Johnson's Dollar Milkshake theory. His theory sucks right now but we all know things can change quickly.
In any case there are places where all theories in actuality can happen but in a drawn out process often intersecting. The financial industry is webbed with deceit and artificial manipulation. This is why I diversify; maximalists do not exist when it comes to artificial manipulation and the future of finance. War, Bubbles Popping, Printers inking, Politician's lying; it's not easy to chart that.
Cryptocurrency, Cash, Gold, Real-estate, equities, things you own. I know it get's dry; but I'll always end off with saying the same things. Crypto and other diversification is key. In the end I foresee dollar weakness for a while unless we have some sovereign debt crisis. Many pundits are saying this whole crisis hasn't reached an insolvency phase. Stimulus will continue!
