Let me be honest with you, when I made my first post on Hive yesterday, I was scared.
I wasn鈥檛 sure if anybody would even notice it, let alone comment. But the love I received from the Hive community shocked me in a good way! People I never knew showed me support, dropped kind words, and most importantly, gave me real advice that I believe every newbie like me should hear. So today, I want to pass those same words forward to other new users and the ones that will still join Hive later. This is from one newbie to another. 馃挍
When I introduced myself yesterday, I didn鈥檛 expect that people like @acgalarza,
@jamerussell,
@loversniper,
@tydynrain, and of course, my cousin
@neysco would show me so much love and encouragement. They didn鈥檛 just welcome me, they advised me. And from their words and my small experience so far, here鈥檚 what I would like to tell all new users:
- Be Consistent
This was the first advice I received. @neysco and others said it clearly: You have to show up regularly. Whether it鈥檚 posting, commenting, or engaging with others consistency is what makes you grow. Even if your first post no get much attention, don鈥檛 give up. Keep showing up.
- Engage With Others
Hive is not just about posting and disappearing. Take time to read other people鈥檚 posts, leave meaningful comments, and build relationships. People remember those who support them too. That鈥檚 how you grow your visibility and connect with the community.
- *Join Communities That Match Your Interests'
Don鈥檛 just post anywhere. Look for communities like India United, Hiveghana, Ladies of Hive, or any group that fits your passion. I joined this one because I love sharing my story, and I love learning from others too. Communities help you feel at home.
- Don鈥檛 Rush for Rewards
Honestly, when I first heard of Hive, I thought it was just about making money. But now I understand that building your reputation, skills, and network here is more valuable in the long run. The rewards will come, but don鈥檛 let that be your only reason for being here.
- Ask Questions, Stay Humble
No one knows it all. If you don鈥檛 understand something, ask. I鈥檝e asked my cousin @neysco many questions and he never got tired of answering me. The Hive family is full of helpful people. Just be open to learning.
In just one day, I鈥檝e learned that Hive is more than a platform, it鈥檚 a community. And I鈥檓 glad I didn鈥檛 let fear stop me from joining.
To every new user out there: be patient, be consistent, and stay real
We go grow together!
Thanks for stopping by, until next time. Bye!馃挍馃А馃挍
