Pets have come to become an important part of our lives. They bring so much happiness, laughter and beautiful memories into our homes, and they have a way of making everyday life more joyful.
Growing up, my childhood wouldn't have been complete without a dog. We always had dogs at home, and I grew to love them. I still recall the fond memories with our dogs -Timmy and Terry. They were my best friends. We played together, ate and slept together. The list is endless. Lol.
Even after my teenage years, we still had dogs. Each of the dogs we had loved me, and I loved them back because I was practically the one feeding them, bathing them, and making sure they got health care. Even when they had their litters, no one dared to come close except me. That's how much they trusted me.
Even now, I still can't get over the love I have for dogs. They're definitely my number one choice for pets any time.
However, I do not have a pet dog at the moment because my current accommodation isn't convenient enough to keep one. I hope to get one in the future and it'll probably be a small friendly breed or a mixed breed like German Shepherd, Husky or Labrador mix.
Bailey and Buddy both are mixed breeds
I love mixed breeds because they often have the best traits combined — the intelligence and loyalty of a Shepherd, the energy and beautiful look of a Husky, and the friendly, playful nature of a Lab. Again, they are also usually stronger, healthier and very unique.
What I love most about having a pet is the comfort they bring, the companionship and unconditional love they give. They reduce stress and make a house feel like a home. And they're fun to be with.
Also, their loyalty - they don't judge you, they just love you and also teach you to be more caring and patient.
They say "a dog is a man's best friend" and it's not a myth, it's a fact — tested and proven - in wars, in homes, in hospitals, with kids, with old people. Always the same result.
A dog is literally the only creature that will be excited to see you even if you just went out for a few minutes or just scolded it. You can be broke, tired, annoying, and they'll still look at you like you're the best person on earth. 😂
They're simply the best!

Despite being a dog lover, the hardest part about having one as a pet is the responsibility because they depend on you completely for care, time and attention. You'll always be there for them even when you're tired or busy. It's just like having a baby.
And there's also the part of dealing with the sadness when they are sick, the heartbreak when they pass, plus you can't just travel anytime.
Be that as it may, dogs top most in my list of pets.
