I Found Something In My Pocket Change Today ..
A 1964 Silver Dime ..
I think it's very very rare that one finds silver coins in change anymore. I think this is the second time it has happened to me in less than a year. The last time I was given a Canadian Quarter. That was a nice gift, but this coin has exceeded it's face value as well. I figure that the dime contains about $1.87 worth of silver per todays silver prices. This dime contains 90% Silver and 10% Copper.
It would be nice if I found several of these every day, this way I could take early retirement. A to think all I would have to do is spend money to make money. hmmmm. Sounds familiar.. lol
A Silver Coin Isn't The Only Small Treasure In My Life ..
I consider Molly a little treasure in my life. Yes we spend a lot of money on her care.. a lot more than I want to add up and make myself aware of. Let's just say we could have purchased a really nice car with that money, but it does not in any way change my mind on how precious she is to us. We would do it all over again, even knowing what we know now. She's worth it and we love her that much.
I was recently conversing with @dswigle about Molly. I had posted yesterday about my heart breaking while watching Molly suffer through a seizure. The seizures have been occurring on a weekly basis and usually in the mornings. Even though we have sort of gotten used to them happening, they are still heart breaking to watch. Most of the time Molly needs some recovery time in order to regain her bearings and stability. Often she needs cleaned up afterwards, due to incontrollable urination; The unglamorous part of things, but a reality.
This is Molly after a seizure.. a little out of it, but calm.
She Is Still Our Little Treasure .. And we will continue to do what we have always done with her.. pamper her, love on her, spoil her, and enjoy our quality time together. Like this past weekend, when the sun was shining and the temps were up in the mid 60's. There was a bit of a wind blowing around and chilling the air when it past by our chair, but we endured and enjoyed that time nonetheless.
I tried my best at a selfie, but I am not so good at them. Mommy is better.
How could that face NOT melt your heart?
She and I were really enjoying that breeze and filtered sun.
I was also enjoying a gin and tonic! I think Molly may have gotten into it though. I caught her licking her lips at one point.. and grinning hehe.
A few more glamor shots, and I'll let you go to enjoy the rest of your Thursday...
We all have our treasures ..
Molly is a special one. Way more special than silver in my change.. but that's pretty cool too! I'll be looking for more silver and more time to spend with Molly.
Thank you for swinging by my blog and checking out the post. Have a great day!
