Molly Is Feeling Better! So We Are Too :-)

Our Little Girl Is Doing Much Better ..

Yet again Molly has turned a corner and has recovered nicely from her last dealings with a persistent infection of some sort. We do have good reason to believe this was related to a tooth, but still not certain. It matters very little now since she is showing obvious signs of improvement.

Senior Dog + Chronic Conditions

Molly is not only a senior dog, at the ripe old age of 14 years, but also battles the relentless symptoms that come along with having Addison's Disease, extreme allergies, and a laundry list of other crap. She's had a rough go at life, but possibly knows non the better. For all she knows, her life has been good. And that's what we always wanted anyhow.. for her to be ignorantly unaware of her situation.

She's been off the couch, and out of her bed for a good few days now. Looks like the multiple doses of antibiotics have been working to clear up any infection(s) she may have been battling. Awesome! Last thing we want is a puppy that is depressed and blah. Her diarrhea has cleared up and she is back to eating. Still extremely picky when it comes to food, but eating nonetheless.

It's been incredibly HOT and extremely DRY this month, but we are still able to enjoy a few minutes out doors in the evening. A couple of nights ago I was out watering the potted plants while Molly was exploring the arid conditions of the yard. I saw her sitting by one of the potted plants I had not yet watered, so thought why not try for a nice photo of her near those flowers.

Well, in typical Molly fashion, she darted away as I came near with the camera!

So I scooped her up and sat her back down in the same spot. She wasn't happy about it and so turned her head in disgust.

Then I Yelled .. ICE CREAM!!!!!

Snap BAM Boom .. I got a photo of her partly looking my direction!!! Good enough.

But Now I Owe Her A Bowl Of Ice Cream, Don't I?

Sure do! Inside we go to fetch ourselves some of the creamy cold stuff. Ice cream has always been one of Molly's favorite treats, and at her age who cares about the fat and calories. Sometimes it's the only thing she'll eat when feeling like crap. Not so healthy food is better than no food at all.

Oh Yeah.. I'm here rambling on and She's wait on me ..

Out It Comes!

A Tower Of Chilled Goodness

Yup, you guessed it. She's scared of it. Go figure.. she's petrified of everything. She took a few quick steps back but wasn't so quick to leave the room. She knows what's coming!

Bada-Bing, Bada-Boom, Bada-Bang .. And she's into it!

Nothing Left But Some 'Got Milk?' Face

If you remember those milk adds from a long time ago? So maybe I should just stick to saying she had a little melted vanilla ice cream on her lower lip. haha. Nothing a damp towel doesn't fix!

Now that all the ice cream is eaten up ..

Off to the couch we go for some more rest and relaxation before bedtime. Molly is in dire need of a haircut, but I have been putting it off due to her condition. Why put her through more stress? So it's getting to the point now that she is looking like a homeless dog. We must get her trimmed up this weekend. I don't think I can put it off any longer.

Her Foo Man Choo tee is getting Loooooong....

She eventually laid down next to my feet after realizing she wasn't getting any more ice cream. She tried giving me the eyes.. the stare down.. but it was hopeless. She'll just have to wait another 24 hours for more.

One Last Cute Shot Before We Leave You..

Later on that evening, Molly took to the other half of the sofa. This is a place she knows well. She loves it over there and often buries herself deep within the pillows. She loves those pillows so much and spends so much time there that we have dubbed it her 'PILLOW THRONE'. It fits!
