Bad luck? Blame it on Mercury retrograde.
Another month has come to a close. As the calendar resets to day one, we officially find ourselves stepping into the second half of the year. For me, this has always been the perfect moment to press restart on many things. At this new beginning, my wish for us is simple, may good things find their way to all of us. Whether it is a small pocket of joy, a major breakthrough, or a beautiful, unexpected surprise. May this month open up doors of blessings for everyone.
My latest project actually stems from a cosmic event that just kicked off. Right on June 29th, Mercury Retrograde made its return, and it won't be wrapping up until July 23rd.
While many people dread this phase, I see it as the ultimate cosmic invitation to slow down, the perfect time to re-evaluate, reflect, and analyze where we want to take our next steps. Granted, days during this period can feel a bit sluggish and derailed. But at the very least, mentally, I am ready.
As a Virgo whose steps are ruled by the planet Mercury, I鈥檒l be honest, this retrograde phase absolutely loves to mess with my daily routine. Any fellow perfectionist out there knows exactly how aggravating it is to watch your beautifully planned tasks get delayed.
Take today, for instance, the internet connection at my house has cut out multiple times. It is incredibly frustrating, isn't it? But with nowhere to run, I just have to breathe and patiently wait for the network to stabilize.
Through this project, I wanted to pour all of that frustration, hope, and deep reflection into a visual piece. I wanted to capture what it truly feels like to be a Virgo standing strong right in the middle of a cosmic storm.
A golden figure representing Virgo. Standing tall and radiant, she strives to remain calm and unyielding, almost like a high-precision robot. This visual symbolizes our perfectionist side doing everything it can not to crumble, even when the world around us feels completely out of control, just like the internet drama I dealt with today, LOL.
In the background, a blazing zodiac wheel reminds us that the wheels of fate and time keep turning. On her left and right, you can see three celestial forces interacting, The Earth, Mercury, and The Moon.
The period leading up to July 23rd might feel like a series of tests. Miscommunications will happen, technology might suddenly glitch, or plans could shift without warning. But remember, a retrograde isn't a punishment from the universe. It is simply a natural pause button, forcing us not to rush ahead. That way, when the planet finally moves forward again, we will step out much wiser and far more prepared.
To anyone else navigating this cosmic rollercoaster right now, let鈥檚 take a deep breath together. We are prepared, and we will absolutely make it through.
Cheers to a brand new month, and may your days be filled with unexpected goodness.
