Greeting everyone, I’m back!
The past few days have been quite noisy inside my head. To be honest, I haven't had much energy to do much of anything. But when words feel too heavy to unravel one by one, creating visuals has always been my way of breathing and processing whatever is happening.
Fortunately, I managed to pull through and be back here to greet you all. Today, I’d like to share a collage I just finished.
In this collage, I tried to explore the visual contradiction representing both our fear and our defense mechanisms. I placed a headless figure topped with a large balloon, making it the focal point that symbolizes calm, yet also the ultimate vulnerability.
In this composition, I deliberately chose not to show threats in the form of wild, fierce enemies. Because often, it’s the very defenses we hold, or even the beautiful surroundings around us, that become a threat to our fragile peace of mind.
Lately, I’ve felt just like that balloon, ready to pop at any moment. How easily our mental balance can be disrupted, like a balloon trying its best to survive amidst sharp objects surrounding it.
