The front shows a beautiful turtle diving underwater. The most beautiful part of the coin is it's shell with a very intricate swirly pattern. Around the turtle are multiple bubbles. In the left part of the coin the name of the animal is embossed on a mirror finish surface. Sadly this ocean theme doesn't continue on the back, as it's only good old Elizabeth II.
The whole motive looks actually quite interesting. I've been thinking for a while to get one of the larger turtle coins from Niue. It's just a lovely design. Don't you think so too?
