I would love to introduce to you one of the Mejor footballing events in my country called Masaza cup.
Masaza cup is a football tournament that is organized by the king of Buganda in the middle of the year to be played by all the people in the different parts of the kingdom of Buganda.
Masaza is translated as Counties in English.
This simply means Counties' tournaments. Which means that this is a tournament that is played by the Counties of Buganda.
Buganda is a kingdom in Uganda (the bigest kingdom in Uganda) the covers the central part of Uganda.
This kingdom is divided into the following counties;
What makes this tournament very interesting is that play this tournament or support on of the sides you do not have to be a Muganda.
You just have to be a Ugandan.
This is where most of the talents of football in Uganda are discovered because the other rule is that you not have to be a professional football.
This tournament is majorly for discovering new talents in Uganda and it has saved its purpose because it is major played by players who are just starting football.
