Hello, fellow steemitians! My name is Alex and this is my personal blog where I will share my transformation and attempt to post my daily activities and meals. I say attempt because sh*t happens sometimes and you can't always keep up but I promise to do my best. Follow me on my journey to my transformation.
Just like everyone else I like to indulge myself, I love going out to eat and I don't always make the healthiest decisions. I enjoy drinking just about anything with alcohol in it but in recent times I have noticed that it has taken a bit of a toll on my body, specifically beer and fast food. It is also extremely difficult to say "no' to friends and family which just adds to the problem.
Since I'm of Mexican decent I love drinking Modelos and Coronas and eating tacos ;), the picture above is that of a "Michelada" which are amazing and you can only find in Mexican restaurants. This drink also serves as a great way to cure a hangover, at least that's what I've been told my whole life. The point is that I'm not exactly the healthiest person but I want to change that.
In the recent 12 months, I have noticed an increase in the amount that I eat and as a result an increase in weight. My daily activities have also decreased significantly due to work so it been a bit of struggle trying to find the time to go to the gym, or perhaps I'm making excuses for myself. Whatever the reasons, I think it is time for me to change for the better.
As a Marine, I was always expected to keep in shape in order to perform my duties efficiently, but now that my time has ended in the service I have found that I'm not as physically active as I used to be and this has greatly shown in the speed at which I am gaining weight. I hope that participating in this blog I will be able to change my habits for the better and be kept accountable, I also believe this will help me track of my progress and also allows me to share my experience with other steemitians and hopefully inspire you guys to do the same.
