Having a bunch of cats around is great. If you're feeling depressed, just look at the cats, you'll feel better because they know that everything is just as it is. There's nothing to get excited about. They just know. They're saviours.
Owners of dogs will have noticed that, if you provide them with food, water, shelter and affection, they will think you are God. Whereas owners of cats are compelled to realize that, if you provide them with food and water and affection, they draw the conclusion that they are God.
