We have grape snails in southern Russia.
They are very large compared to other snails.
Snails are beautiful, with brown curls on the sink.
In spring, around April, these grape snails wake up from their winter hibernation and crawl out.
After the rain, there are a lot of snails in the streets of our city.
You walk on the sidewalk and you look at your feet - like you can’t step on a snail.
I know these grape snails can be eaten.
French people especially like snails.
Perhaps in French restaurants, grape snails are a special delicacy. They are served with all kinds of sauces.
They say snail meat is a good source of protein.
But in Russia people are not used to eating grape snails.
Dishes from them can be found only in restaurants of major capital cities of Russia.
But I don’t want to talk about the taste of grape snails.
Let me tell you about a time I saw a funny love scene recently with two snails ❤️❤️❤️😁
A few days ago, I was walking down the street of our town and I saw this funny pair of snails.
Two large grape snails are prepared for closer acquaintance 🐚+🐚
Two grape snails met on the road and decided ... fall in love ❤️
One snail was calm.
She sat there with an indifferent view on the path almost still, and moved only horns.
And here’s a second snail with an interest crawling around the first one.
She would take care of the "bride" - she would touch the horns, she would try to crawl on the shell of the first snail, and then she would slide down.
This is probably how the "groom" persuaded his partner to get to know him 😀
I’m standing next to this pair of snails and I was very interested.
I first saw love at snails.
The courtship of the snail-«groom» did not last long.
Snail-"bride" finally gave up!
She crawled out of her "cabin".
Then the body of the snail rose above the ground.
Snail-"groom" instantly reacted and also rose up and met "lover"!
Their bodies touched, intertwined...
And what happened next?
