Our mind is a very interesting device. It can handle many operations at the same time.
Sometimes, these are incompatible operations.
For example, I want to recall the past years when I was a student.
I can’t say that I did everything on time and consistently.
Very often, I left my important work at the last moment.
So, I had to write a term paper in one night and draw a few drawings. This greatly exhausted the nervous system.
And so, in the early morning, I did not sleep all night, after a few hours, I had to defend the term paper.
After some time of waiting, a bus pulled up to a stop; it was tightly packed with people.
There were no empty seats on the bus.
And now, standing on the bus, holding on to the handrail with one hand, I fell asleep.
I am sure that I had dreams at that moment.
But when I was sleeping, my hand continued to keep me in balance.
Sometimes, when the bus braked sharply, or, bouncing on the bumps of the road, I woke up, but then, after a moment, I fell asleep again.
I was always surprised at the possibility of our body and our consciousness, but I never thought that I could illustrate this phenomenon.
You see a picture, or, a photo collage, which I collected from four photographs that are not related to each other.
On the left side of the picture, on the left hand, you see a web, which, like a veil, obscures the color reality.
It. the only, color plot in a monochrome picture.
The old tree, as a symbol of time, a flying raven, like our dreams and thoughts and the building of the old church, our spirituality, these are the main, key points of the picture, which shows our border of sleep and consciousness.
The creation of this work was inspired by an old tree, which was reflected in a puddle on the roadway.
This photograph has become the basis.
I began to look for additional elements for the picture in my photo archive. A photograph of a flying raven and a small church helped me do my plan.
I have a large collection of photographs that depict the web, it turned out to be not difficult to choose the right one.
So, step by step, the picture took on the form of an illustration reflecting my thoughts about the possibilities of our consciousness.
