Great post. A thing I noticed as well and have proven is that there are two different kinds of likes. There are likes that actually like the content and there are popularity likes. What I mean by that is some content will get liked even if is trash, if is posted by someone who is well known.

For the most part I always try to ignore the "who" and focus on the "content" itself. That can be easier said than done I know. If its good, its good, regardless if someone got one hundred followers or a million followers. I also understand that, you are going to miss it sometimes because you just can't please everyone all the time.

I know some say, "well if you provide quality content the popularity will come" but that is not always the case as I am sure you are fully aware. Some people get noticed more than others, or faster than others, as to why, that is a million dollar question there.

Instagram removed the like count awhile back, well at least made it less visible. It was believed to have a huge negative impact on a lot of people, mainly those suffering from depression which I understand.

Personally, I backed out of several social media platforms, mentally, it was just too much.
