I honestly don't remember when I seeded this tray of bunching onion. When I looked at it in the grow room this morning, however, I decided it was time to transplant.
I decided to up-plant a bunch into larger containers that I can sell at market. It's funny, I can usually make more money on selling certain transplants than I can make by growing the crop. Bunching onion seems to be one of those crops.
The first step is to lightly fill a pot to the top with some organic potting mix. I usually use whatever happens to be on sale at Lowe's/Depot. Then I make a big hole with two fingers, drop a transplant into the hole, then compress the soil around it. And that's pretty much it. All that's left is to move the tray of pots out to the greenhouse and water.

I did also plant some out in a couple wicking beds. A few of them will eventually make it into Mrs. B's cooking, and the rest will be brought to market.
