This is my entry for #monomad challenge by monochromes@monochromes

A night of some years ago, I wrote with light: I played with the stuff I had around me, like a huge toy. My amazement was greater than plans, obstacles and deadlines of the day.
From the black bank of the pond I threw stones at the floating moon on the surface. I watched the reflections materialized suddenly, distributing and vanishing in many different forms, gradually tapering to an ever sharper luminous line; thickening again in a little circle with suffused outlines and vibrant like it was in the mirror, pushed by a light breeze.
In each stone I 'read' the wavy bands traced by the reflections (maybe something has written something in it by mistake?), along with the small waves at first scattered disorderly, finally condensed in one soft handful of light, ever more fixed and stable, enclosed inside an undifferentiated black. Surface excitement was now diluted along the distant and still edges of the pond, spread in a devouring dark.
I messed with the reflections of the moon, smiling, as if the pond was an immense sheet of paper, and the stone a pencil.
