At the beginning of january, I climb mount Penna (Liguria, Italy), and I was lucky with weather, I found myself over the clouds!
I have already done a post about this day (@barnabo73/sea-of-clouds-at-sunset), here the missing pictures!

I love this beech trees forest, the atmosphere is magic and full of mistery with fog. There is more than you can see with eyes, something hidden beyond the trunks.

Here from the summit: lower mountains and hills appeared and disappered:

Here Mount Pennino: as mount Penna, it has a volcanic origins:

Here a small chapel dedicated to Holi Mari. Inside you can find ex-voto and many pictures about loved missed people...

Fog created a strange rainbow:

Light changed, sunset is coming! And I'm waiting for the golden hour...

And finally a beautiful twilight. Watching at clouds moving live waves in the sea was an hypnotic experience:
