Just wanted to share a few tips that I have learned over the past few days using the Steemit platform.
Users are only able to post once every 5 minutes.
The best times to post (most users online) is between 1-4PM on weekdays. The peak usage time is 3PM on Wednesday.
The worst time to post is after 8PM, especially on weekends.
Developing a dedicated following is the best way to consistently earn money on Steem. Even if you have good content it will quickly go "to the bottom of the pile" given the amount of posts on Steem. If you have followers they will see your posts even if they aren't trending or posted at a specific time.
Using photos and creating captivating titles are key to earning on Steem. Creating a good title and using appropriate tags will increase the number of views dramatically.
Voting generally doesn't earn you anything until you increase your Steem power, but comments are a good way to get started since a comment on a popular post can be seen by many users.
