Hello hello ☺️ I didn't expect to be writing again so soon but I was really happy with what I did last night that I just had to share!
So remember when I said I'd start doing more inkwash stuff but then last night I ended up using mostly fine liner brushes and I was already so happy with the raw output. But my boyfriend suggested I do an overlay and add a touch of color and damn did it turn out so good 🥹🥹 I have no regrets.
This is the final one with the color overlay
Duration: 3 hours
Software: Gopaint
This is the raw drawing in just fineliner and it's already good on its own but damn did the touch of color give it a boost.
And here is embrox
Progression:
I started with a rough sketch and lately I have been using the inkwash canvas a lot more because it has better texture than the other canvases gopaint has. I have experimented and downloaded a few more backgrounds from their official website but this one definitely stuck to me
I mostly worked on grayscale because I've been following this artist that always starts in grayscale then colors in at the end and I wanted to try that instead of going full color like I usually do. And O read somewhere that this would actually allow me to add highlights and accent better so I might just practice it too 😅 let's see.
Then we have my meticulous detail up where I worked my way down the contrast gradient. I usually do this anyway and I detailed up with thinner and thinner brush ends.
Then this is the raw and I was pretty sure I was done before i followed my boyfriend's advice 💕💕 no regrets and let's see if I'll do this for the other holo dragons I'll do next week!
Well, my break is almost over so I will see you guys again on my next post! Thank you so much for stopping by! I always appreciate it!
