Hey ho~ how's you~? I'm back from my little hibernation break and I also tried applying to other labs because the contract I've been waiting for os taking so long. I know contracts shouldn't take a month to draft so IDK with this company.
Anyways! I return with yet another drawing! I'm actually really proud of this because it feels like my old drawing style is coming back to me. My drawing style really shifted a lot since I moved to a tablet, and I've been trying for months in an attempt to restore the old style I loved.
Yesterday afternoon, I started on this little piece:
I'm really really proud of how this came out! Although the way I do lashes could still use a little more work, but otherwise it came out really good and I love it.
I referenced on young Leonardo DiCaprio hair though because I think that hairstyle was hot. Otherwisse, I basically just winged everything ;;w;;
It was also a bit motivating to draw with someone for once (the fact that someone else was drawing with me at the same time. it's a comforting thought UwU). So idk, maybe I'll ask other people to draw with me just for that little comfort.
Anyways, here's the progression of my work:
I'm pretty sad that medibang timelapse doesn't zoom in on areas I zoom in. It makes the really small details look irrelevant yet at the same time, all those minors can still make a huge difference to the piece too. like with the eyebrows ;;-;; I tried adding a bit of highlights there too but idk, it isn't that obvious in the gif and in the finished piece!
and lol. I think the nose still looks awkward. My struggle with noses and no references XD but oh well. There's next time to fix up noses. For today, this will be all from me. I'll see you guys another time UwU (hopefully tomorrow again)
