The last time we walked along the coast of the Gulf of Finland, it's time to go to sea. Now it can be done on foot, just walk on the ice away from the shore. The truth is, you can't go too far. The ice is no longer as strong as in winter. Even the Ministry of Emergency Situations forbade going out on the ice.
But can a ban stop a crazy photographer? Of course not. This day the wind was blowing towards the shore. If the ice broke, then it would not be carried away to the open sea. So I took a chance.
On the horizon you see fishermen. They are catching smelt. It's kind of crazy. A very strong wind is blowing. My hands are dry, I only hold the camera, but they freeze in less than a minute. And these bare-handed people spend hours here. Although, I understand their excitement.
I'm more interested in broken ice, large space and fresh line geometry.
Walking on the ice is very refreshing. The wind blows disturbing thoughts out of the head, the sun charges with its energy, the movement accelerates and cleanses the blood. And the eyes rejoice at the unusual beauty around. You won't see this at home.
