This time it was not even an experiment, but an attempt to put a saddle on a cow.. I was hoping for a successful result, but I really believed in it.

All photos are given without processing, so they were made by Olympus 410.
This is a pretty old SLR camera that randomly became mine. Crop factor 2... I was very skeptical about the capabilities of this camera.

After the full-frame Sony with its menu and functions, at first I couldn't even figure out how it works at all. It clicked, buzzed, the screen went out every now and then... and I thought that it was even faulty and would have to be repaired. My hands and head were faulty. After studying the manual, everything fell into place.

If someone is interested in this, I can dedicate a separate post to my impressions of this camera. But as a lover of experiments, I decided to try to attach my beloved friend Mr. Helios (Helios 44-2) to this camera. The adapter to the M42 was not so easy to find, but I found it (in China).

So, the lens is screwed to the camera and it's time to go hunting. All these pictures are more test than some kind of artistic, but Mr. Helios knows his job. Even missing the focus... the camera has an optical viewfinder. This saves battery power, but not nerves. You can only focus approximately. The monitor and the magnification on it are bad helpers on a sunny day.

But whatever it was, I was satisfied with the result. This pair (camera-lens) has good potential. Now we need to open it :)
