When I first heard some people consume human meat knowingly, I didn't want to believe it. I kept telling (lying to) myself that it can't possibly be true. This isn't like in the movies. 'Cannibalism isn't real', so I thought. I can't believe such a thing. A vampire's existence isn't real so why should this be?
I tried desperately in stopping my heart from believing the obvious truth. How sadly it turned out that I spoke to a close friend last week and he confirmed it saying there is a state in Nigeria, the giant of Africa, where this is practiced. Oh, come on... This can't be real, I thought again. After many confirmations, I found it true. You can imagine my eyeball almost popping out as I felt like a deer caught in a headlight. My mind swirled around with some annoying words, "Gotcha!!! You can't keep lying to yourself when you know the truth". It was crazy.
You'd wonder what prompted me toward writing something like this. I wondered about it too. To tell you the truth, I came across a writing prompt that captivated my attention and made me think about the talking point for a minute... Maybe, more than a minute.
What If The Authority State That Human Meat Should Be Eaten?
The authorities must be crazy. Who the hell are they to say such a nasty thing? You may rant out as I did and yeah, I did rant out. The question posed took me down memory lane. How people could do that to their fellow humans is something I can't fully wrap my head on, but I am not surprised. Humans can't be fully understood. We are lots of crazy beings that cannot be fully tamed. For goodness sake. We are all sinners.
Reading further toward the question posed, I realized I would definitely do the same thing I said I would do. I would rather stay off meat If the authorities were to order the human meat of bad people killed to be sold as meat. I don't know about you, but that thought sounds yucky to me.
Looking at the question posed, I remembered my friend saying this certain group of people from part of Nigeria most time, sell meat to people who are traveling by bus who unknowingly buy it to be consumed, and this took me by shock. I hope you all haven't taken human meat. But come to think of it, I did have these words swirling in my mind all day long;
Isn't the authority meant to chain these people and have them checked in the mental asylum? I had asked.
Well, I wasn't surprised at the answer given to me by my humble self. Nigeria authorities are wack! They only make rules to oppress the poor. Therefore, to save me from turning into a human eater (Cannibal) or vampire that doesn't exist (please don't tell me they do), I have made up my mind to stay off meat forever if such a law is passed by the authority.

Be careful out there. Be sure of the source you get meat from before consuming it.
