She heard the giggles before she even walked out. One would think Racheal would have gotten used to the hateful remarks her way but no matter how she tried it hurts every time.

Racheal was six years old after her father who was the breadwinner of their family died. He was a businessman who loved and cared for his family, but cancer took him away before Rachael turned teen. It was she, her mother, and her little brother Aaron, afterward battling to get the necessities to continue living life after their father's demise.

Her mother started doing odd jobs to keep one or sometimes two squared meals on the table and it wasn't easy. They had spent all the money their father had to keep him alive and her mother was a full housewife then, but not anymore.

The reason Rachel still maintained going to the Prestigious High School was due to the scholarship she had for being brilliant and she once fit there when her father was alive but not anymore. The people who she recognized as friends left her alone like she was broadcasted to have a strange illness. Their attitude towards her was devastating knowing the people that mocked her were people she once wine and dined with, so it wasn't easy to swallow the hurtful remarks about her.

Life wasn't easy as she graduated high school to further her education in Accounting. It wasn't easy getting money to finance her education so she took on a part-time job to save up for next year and also to assist her mother in the financial aspect to send her brother to a good and affordable high school and everything was going well until one night…

Ending Part One.
Rachel had just finished up her last job of cleaning up an eatery when the sky darkened. She hurried up knowing she had to be home before heaven let out its water so she quickly rounded up her work and began her journey home.

The night was scary as the wind howled like a wild painful cat as she walked on the empty street leading to her house. The moment she got home, she opened the door and went to her room first before checking on her brother who was asleep. She went to her mother's room next and saw that her window was open and the rainwater was getting in. She closed the window and touched her mother to see that her skin was pale.

Her heart thumped loudly as she tapped her mother to wake up but she didn't move an inch. Tears filled Racheal's eyes as she picked up the phone to call the hospital but the network was bad. She was devastated and didn't know what to do as she watched her mother's cold body on the bed.

When the rain stopped and an ambulance later made it to their house, her mother was long gone with the source of her death being that she had overworked herself which led to the accumulation of stress.

Rachael knew from that moment on that her dream of being an Accountant is lost as she is now the next in line to take care of her brother, Aaron.

Ending Part Two.

The moon shone brightly as Racheal finished her last job for the day. She decided to get snacks for her mother and brother as today is her payday. Smiles filled her face as she walked to the eatery to order her snack and when she got there, she met a long queue and joined in.

There was a young man in front of her and when it was his turn, his wallet fell from his pocket after he finished paying for his snack. When it was Racheal's turn, she saw the wallet on the floor and knew it belonged to the young man so she ran out to give it to him. He was about to step into his car when she called him.

"Excuse me, Sir, I think you dropped this after paying for your snack". She said with a smile.

The young man turned and thanked her but before she could leave, he gave her his business card and told her he would love to thank her appropriately.
