In a recent interview, Etsy CEO stated that it is not yet possible for Bitcoin (BTC) to be accepted as a payment instrument. Thus, it has been announced that Etsy, one of the most popular goods and art product sales platforms in the world, will not bring cryptocurrency payments at least for the year 2021.
Bitcoin Will Not Be Accepted As A Payment Tool
Etsy CEO Josh Silverman said in a statement on the subject that BTC is not yet ready to be accepted as payment.
To be able to use it as a truly useful trading and payment tool, there must first be a lot of people who own it. Never say never, but I don't think we will do that until 2021 is over.
