In today's society, social media has both made a significant positive contribution and done a lot of damage. It has made people into strangers and helped to connect strangers all across the world.
The social media has gratefully assisted in fostering ties amongst strangers all over the world. Many couples today meet their partners through social media.
Social media has also served as a means of communication in some relationships. Some people prefer to use social media to chat or call their partner due to how much less expensive it is.
It has also kept many long-distance relationships alive by giving them the means to communicate through audio and visual calls from time to time.
Some people use it as a way to express their love for their partner by using their lover's photo as their profile display picture and sharing daily photos of their partner with heartfelt captions to show how much they appreciate them.
Despite this, social media has also harmed numerous relationships in today's world.
Some people's ability to focus solely on their partners has been affected. Most people spend the majority of their time on social media, paying their partners less attention in the process, which weakens relationships in the long run.
Second, some people in this day and age have ended their relationships because they feel that their partner is hiding them from everyone because they don't post about their relationship on social media.
In addition, some relationships have ended because some individuals tend to compare their relationships with others they've seen on social media.
It is a difficult challenge to quantify the advantages and disadvantages of social media, particularly with regard to relationships. Some may assert that it has improved the relationship more than it has harmed it, while others will assert the contrary. In my opinion, the effect of social media on relationships depends on how it is used.
