In a preview for the Sun and Moon anime coming out in October, they revealed a new female Pikachu going by the name Kurin. She not only has her own name, she comes complete with her own look, hairstyle, and a voice actor suggesting she may stick around for longer than just an episode.
I haven't been keeping up with the games or the anime lately, but this got my attention.
